The production and logistics area

This is the very first stage of development for the territory of the FEZ. Most of the territory has already been arranged and it is currently being used for greenfield investments. Almost all land plots have already been provided with necessary detailed plans. They also have a complete infrastructure at their disposal. At present, the Production and Logistics Area is enjoying the most dynamic development as a part of Kaunas FEZ.  Many companies operating in the spheres of production, electronics and automation, logistics and distribution, food industry and the production of pharmaceuticals have established their offices in this territory.

This part of the territory of Kaunas FEZ might be seen directly from the Motorway A6. It is convenient to come to the Production and Logistics Area from the city of Kaunas or the Kaunas District as well as from other regions of Lithuania by car or using cargo-transportation vehicles.

People working for the companies established in the territory of FEZ come to their respective workplaces by car or use public transport. About 600 employees working at the Free Economic Zone reach the companies by public transport using the bus route No. 150 which covers all major parts of the city of Kaunas. The bus schedule is adjusted to the timing of shift schedules for employees and the bus comes to the territory of the FEZ on the regular basis. Taken into consideration that many companies choose to establish offices at the FEZ, the number of stops for public transport is constantly growing.

“Elinta” was founded in 1991 and from the beginning it engages in industrial automation. While expanding our company we began to look for the industrial zone around Kaunas, which would be suitable for our development. We chose Kaunas Free Economic Zone, where we set up in 2007 as the first production company. In the beginning we had some worries - will the Zone continue developing, will more companies similar to ours settle there? Now I can surely confirm - we really are where we wanted to be.
Of course, not only the location is important – tax incentives are also one of the benefits.
