Hella Lithuania launch in Kaunas FEZ
Hella, the German manufacturer of car electronics and lighting, signed a 99-year land lease contract with the company managing Kaunas FEZ in 2017 under which a factory producing components of car electronics will be constructed in the leased 8.9 ha lot in four developmental stages.
The team of Hella Lithuania managed to construct and install its 8,000 sq. m. premises in a record time of 11 months. Production premises, warehouse and administrative building started operation in the first stage of development. The value of this stage amounts to EUR 30 million and it is aimed to hire 250 employees during it.
Hella enjoys a uniquely favourable technical position since both the lighting and electronics segments are combined under one roof.
